Selected candidate will perform complete designs of automation machinery and robotic work cells. Responsibilities include determining initial concepts, selecting materials and components, and finalize detailed designs. Candidate will also aid with Management of the group including mentoring and scheduling of other Design Engineers. This position requires a 4-year degree and 5+ years experience designing automation machinery. Must be proficient with solid modeling CAD software and have some experience with SolidWorks specifically.  Some travel required.

Position will perform primary purchasing functions while working to maintain optimum inventory levels. Review, monitor, interpret and act upon MRP reports for order procurement and scheduling. Continuously work to reduce total acquired costs. Evaluate current processes and offer recommendations for improvement on an on-going basis. Perform periodic vendor visits to access current capabilities of existing and potential new suppliers. Minimum education requirements AS Degree in Business Administration/Procurement or equivalent additional experience. Minimum of 2 to 4 years of Purchasing and MRP experience in a job shop manufacturing environment.  Experience purchasing Weldments, Machined and Sheet Metal Parts and the ability to read drawings is required.

Candidates must be proficient at reading mechanical drawings and have experience setting up and operating bridgeports, lathes, saws and other Machine Shop equipment. Experience with Proto-Track or other CNC controls is also a requirement.

This position requires a working knowledge and experience in industrial electronics, hydraulics, and mechanics. Candidate must be able to work effectively on your own, be able to travel, communicate well with customers & coworkers, and be physically able to maneuver on and around large industrial machinery. The right candidate must be able to troubleshoot technical problems and issues, determine technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommend actions to the company or customer representatives for solution. Requires direct experience in this type of position or 5+ years experience troubleshooting industrial equipment is required. A.S. in a Mechanic or Electrical Technology.
